Ronaldo is the far more accomplished footballer in club football with all his records in the CL and him doing it in multiple leagues. With the national team, he's won 3 trophies with a small European nation that had never won anything before him and had only qualified for 3 world cups before he came on the scene. Messi on the other hand, has been gifted with a nation that has been rich in producing world class players throughout the team across many generations and had won 2 WCs/countless Copa Americas before he came on the scene. Everything Ronaldo has done for Portugal is far more impressive than Messi's World Cup.
