Most Pleasing / Disappointing Results 2024 -2025

Bournemouth home..... And what hurt was we all knew when they scored the first we wouldn't win....

Pool home. When we won 2-2. Would have been brutal to lose last Derby.

Bournemouth worst, but could easily be the entire season until Dyche was fired - Southampton for the cup and (again) Southampton away were just dreadful, peak Dycheball. Failing to beat United with Moyes was also disappointing, we proper Everton'd that one up, but it wasn't as bad as the others.

I'd say Palace was pleasing because we were safe and life instantly became better. (soz @Alan Whittle )

Tarks' goal too though. And the Forest and Newcastle wins.

Honestly, from such a gloomy start/half season, it ended up with several feel good results imo. Really glad we got Moyes back, even though "no one could do better with these players lads", so maybe his re-hiring should be the most pleasing result, given our situation.

I hated most of the games under Dyche but watched out of loyalty/habit/masochism
I loved most of the games under Moyes

To answer the question though
Worst: Bournemouth at Home
Best: RS at home
All this for me too. I struggle to remember a better feeling than when Tarky scored that belter. I have watched the 'from all angles' video more times than I can remember 💙

Worst results were the villa anb Bournemouth 3-2 losses after leading 2-0. Felt like we could never win!
Any of the away wins under moyes gave back some pride in ourselves.
More of the same next season UTFT!
Those results completely destroyed dyche's image of being a defensive mastermind. After that, we were a sitting duck.

The 1-1 Fulham home game. Couldn’t believe the way we setup that game. That game encapsulated Dyche. As soon as we tried we scrambled an equaliser in. But until then it was a simply disgraceful performance.

Most pleasing was the away games under Moyes. Palace away stands out most as we were poor for 30 minutes and then took control.

Bournemouth at home was clearly the low point of the whole season (although there were a few). It was, in fact, the most anger-inducing defeat we've had in years

Best - Either Spurs at home or Newcastle away

id put the more disappointing/frustrating results in under Moyes because it actually was disappointing when we didnt get the expected result, whereas under Dyche i think most of us had just excepted we were poor and the football terrible

so United 2-2 probably for me, we were battering them and we let them creep back in. throw in the var overturn and it gets even more frustrating

not winning at home between leicester and southampton on the whole was also deeply frustrating. likes of west ham and ipswich we really should have been beating. and on a personal level i was desperate to see us win at goodison again. went to all the games this year bar southampton and the last time i saw us win and got to sing all the songs at full time was Leicester.

most pleasing was probably Leicester just because it felt like a statement performance for a game I was really nervous about. going 2-0 up so early and cruising just felt great after months of drearyness and worry. great atmosphere too

The sheer amount of putrid results we had under Dyche really takes some doing. 4-0 losses to the worst United and Spurs teams in living memory, seeing 2-0 leads turn into defeats in back to back games against Bournemouth and Villa, losing twice to that god awful Southampton team. I’m sure there are others as well.

Given how things turned around under Moyes, it’s really hard to believe that all of those horrendous results happened in the same season.

Dyche is up there with Benitez for me, a truly soulless existence awaits any football fan when he’s in charge of your club.
