New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

The outfitters are the same company who did Spurs, so they come with great ideas and experience. Yet, importantly, the outfit will not be to the same standard.

But that's because they spent a lot more money than us building it! So as you say, even half the output will be a great experience, and from what I've seen it is.
One of the things I liked about the last test event is that while the stadium is obviosusly better facilities wise, the overall industrial feel in the GA section left you in no doubt you're there to watch the footy first and foremost.

Obviously that'll be different in the hospitality areas. Can't wait to do a proper tour.

Well they will be. The point they were making was that the fit out is on schedule, not that it’s finished, so yeah they aren’t going to do sweeping panoramic shots of the whole thing because it is still effectively a building site.
Maybe they should have held off inviting Sky and Blue Peter in to have a tour of the stadium until it was nearer to being finished. I think we have had a good laugh at other teams for not having their stadium upgrades completed before the season started.

I'm still pondering the Sandhills issue. We have/ had the soccer-bus from there to Goodison, so what about a similar service but after the match from Hill Dicky? A fleet of buses taking fans into city centre or even another train station, just a thought.

Bit mad that they still haven't announced what the opening game at HDS will be.
I'm expecting a glamour friendly. Seen people suggesting Roma due to the ownership link.

Apparently the spending review announcement by Rachel Reeves this week is going to put Everton Stadium front and centre as the driver for 10,000 new homes to be built in the north end of Liverpool and south Sefton.

The stadium will be mentioned a lot, but we'll only be bit-part beneficiaries of the 'greater transport connectivity' that'll come from the £1.6B spending Reeves will announce. £100 million of that total will be put aside for the gliders that'll benefit LFC as much as it does Everton.

I do hope we have people at the club going over the head of Rotheram and making Everton's case to the government that the club (and really the fans because they'll ultimately be paying for that stadium one way or another) has done more than enough heavy lifting to expect some sort of (at least) reconfiguration of Sandhills and should by rights be expecting a light tramway - a la the one put down in Coventry - which can go from the city centre though the Ten Streets project also requiring funding, to the new stadium and beyond that to these new houses they're (apparently) building.

I mean, you'd hope that the club have realised that Commander Steve is not Andy Burnham and doesn't have his wits (or motivation) to get Everton's case out there and properly put that to central government. Everton and their owners have a chance to go public on this issue. Letlshope they take it and dont allow that halfwit Rotherham to brush our ambitions under the rug.

They have a line of shuttle buses on Grt Howard St serving Lime St and Liverpool One Bus stns and others going the other way to Bootle. I think there should be some serving the East Lancs corridor because they do not have any buses that drop down to Scotland Rd...... which increases their walking distances. Most Buses from Walton do go aling Scotland Rd and all districts in East and South Liverpool have direct buses into town. The efficiency of the shuttle buses is key. The junction of Grt Howard St at Leeds Street needs addressing and buses given priority. This was a major pinch point for the 2nd test event and the system broke down because too many cars were trying to use it too. With the Costco turn off completely jammed for an hr before. This should be a relatively simple fix....

I was just going to post similar. I think for the 2nd test they ran buses from Bootle Strand and Liverpool One as well as the usual 919 from Commutation Row. According to Stagecoach they will trial a bus(es) from Kirkby via Croxteth, Norris Green and Spellow Lane for the 3rd test event.

I mean for egress though, is it the same before and after?

Just spoke to a mate who’s working on the job (floorlayer) who previously told me it was behind.

“Loads to do but doable, might be going onto shifts to get it done”

They’re now looking for Floorlayers and looking at the dates here, it’s gonna be all go right up to the start of the season.

So if anyone knows any floorlayers who fancy it, send them this..
