Is it "binning us off" or is it moving on to another challenge? Granted for a pay bump and to potentially play in Europe.

People always make it too personal with DCL, I don't think you can blame him for wanting to leave at the time, the club was still in ownership limbo with Dyche at the helm. It was probably his last chance saloon at getting a "big move".

Don't get me wrong, I don't want him to stay. Bit that's just because I think it's ran it's course and both parties need to move on. Also, think it's unfair to Beto if DCL is retained.

Tbh I'd like DCL to stay, think he'll be a good back up striker and he's good at what he does and against certain teams we need what he does.

Like gana imo i think gana is amazing when we play top sides and need him to press, tackle and wing the ball back but against the other 14 teams where were supposed to compete we need better cm on the ball.

Also im not bothered if DCL does want to leave hes not a evertonian and playing for us always seemed like a job to him. I just dont agree with this idea that he did a fashion shoot one time and the entire fan base turned into a group of homophobic bigots.

I do think he had a hand in the fractured relationship with the fans. Unfortunately his best season where the fans could of really got behind him was during lockdown and no one really felt part of the game when that was going on.

Maybe if hed of had that spell during a season with fans in the ground wed all love him and hed love us but it wasnt ment to be.
