Contrary to some posters here, he is not on holiday...he is with the international team. Not sure why we are so slow and inefficient. This should have been sorted out before the last day of the season or even a couple of weeks ago after the season was officially over. There is clearly a big issue in the club still. Only deal so far is alcaraz and because we had no choice really with the expiration of the buyout option. We need players before the pre season starts.

2 years seems logical for all involved. He’s earned it and even with a slight decline the next 2 years will be able to contribute at a high level.

If we don't get him to resign then I actually will start to have a bit of anxiety. He's a huge piece of this team right now and I really don't want the club to have to try to replace him on top of everything else going on. Hopefully this gets negotiated soon.

Not sure who is conducting negotiations right now at the club, but whoever it is they're not very good at it. 2 years (plus one optional) for alcaraz...now gana wanting a deserved longer contract. I think we are still runed by a bunch of amateurs.

Same here. Would like to think he will, but if he doesn't then it would be a huge blow and undo a lot of the goodwill the owners have thus far.

Its a shame that after the recent upturn, the usual calamities seem to be taking place with regard transfers and player retention.
