I didn't think for a moment that he was dropping off when playing for England in recent white ball series, but I did think that he was in a poor patch of form. His repertoire of shots is impressive and he can remain at the crease for prolonged periods - a valuable and slightly uncommon attribute to have in white ball cricket.
