New sponsor needed

Didn't Barcelona used to pay UNICEF to use their name on their shirts, in other words they sponsored UNICEF but paid them. I might be wrong but I thought that was the case.
Would love us to do something similar with Alder Hey, pay them to put their name on our shirt, a proper peoples club.

We built this City, so we might as well sponsor the local kids hospital too.

If the Hill Dickinson sponsorship is worth as much as they’ve suggested, I’m kind of suprised they didn’t go for the shirt rather than the stadium - equally suprised the club didn’t push them down that road.
If their aim is simply more brand recognition the shirt surely has greater exposure?

Plus we would be free to pursue other company’s for the stadium.

shirt sponsors are way higher than stadium sponsor

emirates pay arsenal something around 6-7mil per year to sponsor the stadium, but around 50 to sponsor the shirt

Stake pay us over 10 which is higher than HD, i doubt they could afford that as well

rather not have a sponsor but something like Toyota would be less immoral and look a bit cleaner

i remember the youth side were sponsored by an italian tinned tomato company. fairly harmless and looked smart

I would happily pay an extra £5 for my membership if I knew that money was going towards them as a sponsor and means we never have a gambling sponsor again.

According to the Guardian, the Directors of EFC have been written to by the gambling Commission to say that they may be criminally liable for continuing to allow Srake to advertise as they have lost their UK liicence.

Personally, we should never have defiled our shirt with that trash.

We will do well to get the same quids from another sponsor though.

Is that in the UK Guardian? I cant find that story online, there is a story about Stake losing their licence to operate in the UK in February, but thats it.

We will keep Stake for one more season, then we have to get a new one because the premier league have all agreed that they wont have betting sponsors from 26/27 season

Didn’t realise Stake / Srake was paying that much….
That must be significantly higher than our previous one right?

So we could be sued by Stake for breach of contract if we dump them, or be criminally liable for advertising an unlicensed gambling company. Great news for our legal team, loads of work incoming for them.
It’s more likely Everton would sue Stake than the other way round.

Under UK contract law, if an event makes performance of a contract illegal or impossible, the contract will be deemed “frustrated.”

The loss of the licence would likely be seen as Stake’s failure, not Everton’s. If anything, Everton could potentially sue Stake for Reputational harm. Lost sponsorship revenue. Legal costs from regulatory inquiries.

Most sponsorship contracts, especially in regulated sectors like gambling include “compliance with law” clauses.

Stake likely breached a core term of the contract, giving Everton the right to terminate.
