Elon simply doesn’t have the backing to kick-start a political movement; chatter about him founding a new party won’t faze the GOP. I foresee him attaching himself to a libertarian figure or maybe the libertarian party.

I fail to see how the United States can be described as operating under state capitalism. Under a state-capitalist system, the government typically owns and controls major corporations or entire industries. In the U.S., almost all large companies - banks, tech firms, manufacturers, retailers - are privately owned. Private actors own and manage the vast majority of capital in the US.

Aye, I agree they already pose an extreme danger, but I'm worried to the extent they could get to if it gets really nasty. I don't trust either of them and the extent their followers would go to for them.
