2024/25 Iliman Ndiaye

My favourite current Everton player and a bit of a throwback - wants to carry the ball and dribble past his man with body feints or step overs. Quick feet in tight spaces and does a lot of good work off the ball as well. Has also shown that he can finish and has scored some great half-chances this season with both left and right.

Completely agree, absolutely love him me!

I also love how much he loves playing for and fits Everton. 100% effort 100% of the time, runs his socks off, bit of snide, and gets the fans going. Goodison has been a quiet place at times over the last few years and we've always said that the team needs to give us something to shout about. Players like Ndiaye make the place louder!

People were comparing him to Demarai Gray in this thread just last month which is seriously embarrassing. Honestly, some of our 'fans' don't deserve good players. We’re lucky to have him; he’s a joy to watch
Demarai Gray will forever confuse me, had the raw ability to take him to the top of football yet a shocking work ethic and a diva attitude

Ndiaye is levels above, can't fault his work ethic and knows where the goal is. And loves Everton through and through, which I never felt from Gray.

The number of times the ball gets whacked to him in a tight space and I think he hasn’t a prayer of controlling it but he somehow does is unreal. Defenders are scared to ever test his first touch no matter how bad the pass because they know he can spin them in an instant.

How would you feel if you were asked to play as a makeshift striker and then replaced by Maupay four games into the season ?
