Everton Youth Teams Thread

Three years for a kid who turns 21 early next season and doesn’t have a minute of senior football yet? Am I missing something?
Loan him out, hopefully he progresses, have a look at him again and if not get a transfer fee....

Rinse and repeat.....

Armstrong's future will be decided this Summer, if he's ready he will stay around the first team, if not loan again

….but you can’t do that for every Academy player, I think the point being made was why Heath. U21 POY, the club must think he has a chance.

I think the length of the contract signed by Heath would indicate the club thinks he has a bright future.
If he was signed just to play with the under 21's I think it would have been for 12 months only.
I think we may see him in pre season before they make a decision about him for next season.
I think Armstrong will be kept at the club and will get to play in lots of games.

….i understand the club has already said the plan is to send him on loan next season.

Longer deal than Alcaraz

was a done deal once he done the first tweet. He has a remarkable consistency with his city academy tweets (because they're paid for by city)
Had hoped we might have had sniff but realistically we can't complete with city Chelsea
Maybe it's the young players that are deemed surplus to requirements that we should target but even they go for good money ,Chelsea seem to like ex city academy players Palmer ,lavia delap , possibly gittens

They offer financial packages that are off the scale so it's another area of football which has financial doping stopping the less wealthy teams from competing. Even Man Utd and Liverpool struggle to compete against their financial muscle at that level which tells the story
