Manchester United

They were never in financial trouble, have you seen what Chelsea have been getting away with for years?

No, but it won't take long the longer they miss out on CL They're in the unenviable position, commercially, of having to generally overpay to try and keep pace and that'll [Poor language removed] ol' Jimbob BBQ if it doesn't have a quick payoff.

Have to say, as much as I dislike the cart, fair flucks to Fernandes for rejecting 700,000 quid a week tax free to play in Saudi. Has probably turned down the best part of 100 million pounds there, assuming they offered him a three-year contract. That's extremely rare amongst modern day players. And yes, he's already earning mega money and could never spend in several lifetimes what he's already earned, but when they're flashing their diamond-encrusted panties to the tune of almost a million a week, most people would up and leave.

Imagine going from a packed 72k stadium at OT to a stadium in the desert every week with the crowds then get? Easy to see why he’s turned it down.

Are utd in trouble here?

Signed Cunha for £62.5M. Wanted to pay over 5 years but Wolves made them pay over 2 (so bigger PSR hit).

Frenandes turns down the Saudi move, so no income there.

Sancho sale refused by Chelsea, so another £25M not incoming.

No sales for Rashford or Antony lined up just yet?

Do they now need some sales before 30th of June after their Cunha deal has gone through early?
They might well be in trouble mate, but not for the reasons stated.

Payment terms don't affect PSR, only cash flow. Also, the Cunha deal isn't going through until 1st July.

That's not to say that their books for this year to date don't need balancing, and I defo got the impression they were trying to force the Bruno move in order to do that. Wouldn't be surprised to see Garnacho and/or Mainoo out the door this month, now.

Says a lot about their current state ,

Going for players who have a proven output in weaker sides instead of going for top talent from top sides

I was listening to something on the radio the other day about the difficulty that the some of the footballers families have settling over there and why so many have ripped their mega money contracts up and come back to Europe.

It`s like living in a gilded cage, where within the confines of the " resort " that you live in, you live in absolute opulence.

Step out of the " resort " and you are subject to the exact same rules and conditions as everyone else has to adhere to in an ultra strict Muslim country, especially the women and lets not forget they also played a big part in financing Bin Laden and his mob, so I`m guessing that there might be a fair bit of being made to feel unwelcome too.

Maybe not financial trouble, but there’s no way they are not in breach of PSR (and have been for at least the past two years). We (and Forest) really should go after the PL legally because it’s abundantly clear there is a one rule for them and another for everyone else.

For all the criticism of Chelsea (who are also almost certainly in breach too), at least Boehly isn’t looting the club or screwing over all the employees. The
