ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Happy 133rd birthday Liverpool.

Did you bake and decorate that yourself? A man of hidden talents.

Shut down the infrastructure of a small cosmopolitan city and invite hoardes of these fanatics in from everywhere. Then act surprised when something happens.
Important piont that,
I took 1 hour 40 minutes to get to work normally takes 25 minutes,
From the end of Knowsley expressway , as soon as you turned off absolutely gridlocked.
I was on a spur off it for ages even then every junction was gridlocked.
Anyone going the 🛫 airport Wouldn't have had a change to get there on time not a chance in hell.
Even minor local roads were blocked,
I gave my mate a lift home, he had no chance of getting a bus through that, took 35 minutes to do a two mile trip, took me 5 minutes going back agaist the flow.
I said to him regardless of the occasion, how the hell has the council let this happen, a bank holiday. And half term everyone and there kids is off.
If there had been any sort of emergency , fire accident, anyone needing an ambulance ect they would have been absolutely in trouble.
Surely it needs planning better it's not worth someone's life so a gang of mostly tourist can watch a bit of silver getting parades about for a few seconds.
In these days of heath and safety it's a wonder it was allowed to happen.

Allow lots of people to access a crammed space that's very difficult to leave. Guess what? Accidents happen.

Council knows best I suppose.

The inquiry into the event will probably pick up on the private company that dealt with barriers for the occasion and policing it. Rightly so. The council didn't think this through either right enough.

The main reason it happened tough is that a feller went berserk and drove into crowds of people.

They simply shouldn't of had it, we all expected something bad to happen, not what ended up happening, but it was a disaster waiting to happen. It was an absolute farce, allowing fans from nowhere near Liverpool to flood city, when they aren't even proper fans. They could of simply had a ticketed event like City do and at shown it on YouTube. It would be busy enough for local fans, never mind tourists.

Take that incident out of the equation and it was still chaos. City is run by lunatics honestly.
