I don't look in this site verry often but to say there is problems and behind in secdule would have been worying whith or old owner. But there is no way are new owners are going to miss any finishing dates and loose money ,they will get people working 24 hrs a day there reputation is at stake.
loose i hope their allowed to with the money!

You need a linguistics degree to navigate this place sometimes 🤣🤣

I get the get the impression ,no home games in August then the test event will be in the international break in September before our first home game. Like what Big Red did with the hole punch, maybe we miss a game week to keep in line with the premier leagues rule with not wanting 3 aways in a row for league matches

Do you get that impression on your pillow?

Spurs done their 2 test events in a week and passed with flying colours

But he was right about Spurs having issues and moving test dates back all the time. Think the orignal first game was scheduled for September at the new ground but they moved from Wembley 8 months later.

I knew quite a few lads who moved contracts to help with the finish as it was a car crash.

If it is true that we have asked for the first three games to be played away we will hear something soon from the club.

We’ll definitely know on the 18th June when the new season fixtures are released!

Was there a change that meant clubs needed to have 3 events to get stadium certified, or is it just like the PL PSR where we get treated different to everyone else?

I think the main criteria is that all areas of the stadium and emergency response operations are tested. With the final one being at a certain percentage of the capacity. We have not tested any of the corporate areas yet and have only hosted less than half the stadium capacity. It is also a test/training event for the personnel responsible for the safe operation.

In our case, we also have to test transport and general access and egress to/from the site. My understanding is that this is separate to the stadium safety cert itself, but obviously no less pertinent to the safe opening/operation of the stadium and the testing of the "Transport Plan," which may or may not have further ramifications regards operation of the venue. This was less of an issue at Spurs, being on the site of the existing stadium with tried and tested infrastructure and long established fan's matchday journey routines. Arsenal moved a few hundred metres and had 3 test events. The results of which showed that there was excessive congestion at some stations, which led to their closure on certain times on matchdays. Of course the test events are also an opportunity to educate and test the fanbase, which is an essential part of the move process. To see if the planned modal shifts and dispersal times are achieved, and the measured consequences if not. Allowing those responsible to identify any actions required to do so.

The spurs stadium though is vastly more complex then ours with technology. That pitch alone 😲 it's madness. I'm hoping most contractors would have done a lessons learnt.

According to Commander Steve the third test event is optional.

Must be right if he said it...or maybe he should consult with Andy Burnham to see what the next move should be...just like he does with everything else in this region.

There is nothing to suggest the third test event is behind schedule, is there? I'd imagine it can happen in close proximity to the first "real" game though the sooner the better.

Perhaps they want to complete or have the fit-out largely done - would that be a factor?

If there is a delay of a number of weeks in hosting the first league game that isn't a big deal imo and we'll find out if that's the case soon. It surely can't be anymore than that as they could not have made the Farewell to Goodison Event what it was knowing of a bigger problem.

I don't take the view that the club has to provide updates on everything but I guess without updates the vacuum is filled with 3rd party information and speculation. I just think as with transfers, some nervousness is to be expected and we can't see the work being done behind the scenes, as we obviously could with the construction element.
