2024/25 Charly Alcaraz

Problem is if turns out a top player, we'll have to sell probably next summer...2 year, even if we have an extra year optional is a poor deal especially having paid 12 millions...from a psr perspective is a horrible deal.

If he turns out to be a top player, we qualify for Europe, sell him for big bucks and attract better players.

Leaving aside the 2 year length of the deal, I see him drifting in and out of games and we need a lot more consistency from our first team players.

He's decent but I cant say he's that signing that gets you thinking we might be moving into a different category of club anytime soon.

21 goals he scored for us in 149 games.

A goal every 7 games is not to be sniffed at by us in this era.
How many potential goals dissappeared from him constantly not doing what a 10 should be doing? His passing was woeful in the final third as was his control. His big goals saved us from a position we wouldn't have been in had he done his job. I will happily take Charlie's goals & assists over Doucs running around a lot.

I dont know, because that's unknowable.

What I do know is that he scored on average 1 goal every 7 games.
