Except the club have a 1 year option so it’s a three year ‘loan’Essentially it's like paying 12m for a 2 year loan.

I think we'll need to make a bigger statement than this.I think there is an argument to be made that he could be our most important signing of the summer.
It's a statement of intent, we've gone from Doucoure, an honest player, who though technically short, gave his all in every game, to Alcaraz, a more technically gifted player who can turn games with a pass.
Yes.
And Everton calling it ‘permanent’except it's 3 years
and we can sell him
and we get the proceeds not flamengo.
Or we can negotiate a new contract with him and his agent and no parent club.
but apart from that, sure.![]()
Think there’s a logic to it mate, I just can’t work it out - bizarre from the club and player.
I haven’t seen TFG hand a contract out that wasn't any more then in and around 2 years so far - small sample granted!![]()
Absolutely strange, not sure I've seen a 2 year deal for a young player before. It's got to include an option for a 3rd year, right? Otherwise that seems poor planning on the face of it.
I wonder how an option plays out under PSR?
Except if we sell him at any point in 3 years, we get money.Essentially it's like paying 12m for a 2 year loan.
Makes much more sense if true, means we hold the cards.
