Unless he's absolutely terrible he's getting around 30-40 games next season.
Chelsea have the club world cup, domestic cups, premier league and 8 game CL group stage
If Chelsea get knocked out at the earliest opportunity of every competition next season that's 52 games

If they get to the semi finals of all tournaments that's 67 matches
He could easily get 30 starts and not be seen as first choice

This season just gone

Nkunku - 42 apps
Madueke 41 apps
Sancho - 41 apps
Gusto - 41 apps
Aderabayo - 37 apps
Dewsbury Hall - 31 apps
Chalobah - 19 apps (recalled in January)

There are minutes there for players who aren't deemed guaranteed spots

Split that down to league appearances for his position....

Nkunku started 9 in the league. 911 minutes in total. Which works out about 10 full league games.

Of course he'll get minutes due to the fixture pile up. But he's turned down being the number 1 striker at other clubs to be fighting it out for 2nd choice.

Which is fine. Hope he does well. Not sold on him personally.

Knew it was all bollox. It was never on the cards he’d come here.
Cant get my head round what you mean "You knew it was bollox"

Him and agent have obviously been encouraged the club to bid otherwise he wouldn't have bothered meeting Moyes.

We're trying for players,we got beat, big deal, we move on.

I'd rather us openly be in the market for players the so called Top teams are than scrounging round the end of August trying to pick up scraps

We're being aggressive and I like that.

Where's Matty 1878.thought Delap was nailed on to join us

I was a rather amazed we so publicly threw our hat into the ring for this player .
Had he chosen us it would have been a sideways step for him . He has already proven himself in the lower half of the table and now he has understandably backed himself to compete at the top level and gain experience in European competitions .
As others have said , we need to be identifying and signing these players before they become attractive to the top clubs.
We also need to concentrate on non British players , they command too big a fee and demand too high wages ( plus most are technically inferior to their continental counterparts.)
