I get the allure for signing to club with ample resources and recent trophies , where you'll also get a hefty wage but it's also been established that signing for Chelsea doesn't even guarantee you'll be in their 35 man squad much less a regular starter, so kinda baffling that he was supposedly receptive to Everton's pitch to accept basically the antithesis of that proposed scenario. Was indifferent before and also now , I think better options are out there. If anything I'm disappointed there was a release clause otherwise Chelsea would of ineptly spent 70 million on him , going by their hilarious and previous track record

I'd have been happy with him but I genuinely believe for 30 million we can pick up someone of equal talent,if not better.
