Transfer Rumour Liam Delap

Lukaku cost us £30mill didn't he? So talking £50mill today prices which is the price Cunha went to Wolves for.

To me you can't scrimp on a forward and hope it pans out. Just target one you think you can get and pay the money.

It's the wide players you can take a punt on IMO.

But on Delap... he'll never be "the one that got away"
Delap is no Lukaku - what did we all feel of his input with Ipswich at Goodison = bog average IMO....

….24 hours ago he’d agreed terms with United, now he’s off to Chelsea. Not believing anything at this point, except I think we’re still in the mix.

Fine if we get him, not bothered if we don’t.

Agree. I think getting him would be a coup but am not convinced about him.

More than just a tad in my opinion.

Not better than Beto.

Get Gana and Charley over the line and then move on to better than Delap.
Beto is not very good to start with. If we are signing a striker he needs to be far better than our nearly almost average strikers.

Then you should have seen the improvement.

Two good headers but offside against albeit a poor defence, and then pulled an England CB all over the place, and gave a team playing in the Champions League next season a torrid time for 80 minutes.

Moyes has upped his levels, and hopefully even better next season.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Humbug to stats remember James Beatie ? when DM could have signed Dean Aston down the road at Crewe for a million saving 5 million & less wages .....
I know Joey, play a few two metre passes ever so slightly forwards and you have a one hundred percent forward pass stat. The fact that actually watching the game the player was virtually invisible doesn't seem to matter.

when he’s cry arsing bout being benched and wants a loan move in Jan, tell him to do one, will guarantee now he will flop BIGTIME at Chelsea. Just another ill advised young English forward with an airhead of an agent.

Agree. I think getting him would be a coup but am not convinced about him.
I feel there’s clamour to sign him simply because we may now be able to, rather than because he’s ideal.

We’ve been starved for so long.

On the other hand, if he’s decent and willing to come that’s a start. He seemed amiable when he signed the wall in the Goodison Road house.
