One weird thing from Chelsea’s perspective is that they already have Nicolas Jackson who in 2 PL seasons has scored 14 and 10 goals respectively with 5 assists in each season. Don’t really see Delap being a massive upgrade on that output for them tbh.

Jackson missed a hell of a lot of chances. Given the creativity in the Chelsea side you’d be expecting their main striker to be getting close to 20

Really thought he’d go to either Newcastle or Chelsea as they can offer CL football. Said earlier in the thread, I’d thought it would be Chelsea as he’ll get more regular starts, as opposed to be Isak’s understudy and just playing in cup games. As a footballing decision, it’s a poor choice from the lad and moreso his agents.

It's obviously not exclusive - but it's a factor.

The likes of Branthwaite, Bowen are in the squad and playing if they're at Chelsea.

Tuchel even mentioned Champions League when talking about Dan Burn FFS.

You can tell a mile off he's a manager who'll favour players at certain clubs/profile, even more so than most.
