Ideally yes but we likely don’t have the money to do all we need this summer. Beto has resale value after a decent season and this is why I think he’s the one to go if Delap comes in.
I'm on the fence with Beto AT.

There's no doubt that he's improving and scored some decent goals this season but he's way short of being good enough to be our No1 striker.

I suspect that if we could get back what we paid for him ( which would give us a PSR win ) we would be very tempted.

Ideally I'd prefer to keep him as an impact sub but as you say funds might not allow that.

I think that Calvert Lewin has run out of road at Everton. He needs to move on .

Thats fine and dandy except we are in trouble and leave ourselves short yet again. Would rather keep Beto, sign Delap and save money elsewhere, instead of selling a capable striker for one that goes 19 games without scoring or is on the treatment table.

It does seem like that unless Moyes thinks he can get a tune out of him like he did Beto.

I'm not on the fence.

Want him to stay.

But then I also want Keggers to stuff off, but that may also not happen.

Life is tough.

I just think his confidence is shot. Notice how his strike went directly to the keeper and he had all the time in the world. He just wanted to hit it on target and not take any chances. Notice how when Beto went with his shot, he went for gold with his weak foot and tried to go for the corner. It didn't come off, but it shows you where the mentality is right now with both of them. He needs a fresh start.

I'm also not on the fence with wanting him gone.

Great attitude, fast, strong, decent in the air, good movement, clearly wants to get better and a really likeable lad but one of the worst technical footballers I've ever seen here and I watched Brett Angell, Claus Thomsen et al

I think I'd rather head won over heart here. As likeable as he is, he's just scored a few goals and that's meant we might get our money back which, conceivably, might be the only time this is possible. Business-wise, it's the perfect time to sell him.

The only (literally only) reason I could see for keeping him would be if Calvert-Lewin leaves (and he's another one that ideally I'd like to see the back of), it's hard to imagine us signing two strikers of any real quality this summer and, that being the case, we probably need to keep at least one of them for a year.

Mad player Beto. I go from having a huge soft spot for him to finding myself screaming at his technical incompetence which is borderline like playing for the opposition.

Anyway, do one Dom
