New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Do you's think it will sell out each home game especially at first?, looking forward to visiting this season, if can get a bloody ticket. Need to read through this OP really, exciting times for you hopefully.

Easily. The demand for home (and away) tickets has been extremely high for close to 10 years now. 39K at Goodison was selling out with ease and then since the new stadium was announced the waiting list numbers have grown. The waiting list was around 34K last year as confirmed in a Shareholders meeting.

Obviously as time goes on, if results and performances are mediocre to poor, I imagine the midweek and cup games against lesser opposition will see us struggling to get over 50K but that would happen with almost all clubs except for the ones with thousands of gloryhunters around the country who can go in and fill any unsold seats. And with our past 30 years, we certainly don't have that type of fanbase.

Guess the question really is then, is it going to be anywhere near big enough for you. I imagine you can extend if need be?

For the first season, I do believe it'll regularly sell out if not all games. In the long-term, it'll likely boil down to success and the cost TFG put on tickets.

I would not be surprised if general admission reach £70 per game.

That's been a debateable issue among our fanbase for years. The club and architect had explored 60K+ for a while but it was decided for various reasons to go with just under 53K for a variety of reasons including: the restrictions around the site, to retain a close and intimidating design and atmosphere, and I believe to create a scarcity of tickets to ensure high demand. I think the last one is an American concept as the Architect is American.

I personally would have liked it to have been in the 55-58K region as feel like that would have been a better compromise, and given our lack of success in the last 30 years, I feel 60K+ would have been too big whilst we are an unsucessful club, which sadly we are in the modern era.

But the media and the modern day fan seriously underestimates the devotion of our fanbase, often overlooking our "loyalty" home and away at the expense of bigging up fans like the Geordies. The difference between them and us in the last 25 years is quite simply that they upgraded their stadium in to the modern era, enabling an extra 15K+ of their supporters to attend home matches, whilst our ground got increasingly dated and we were restricted to 39K with thousands of awful obstructed views.
