I just mean in terms of talent. His touch and control are better and his finishing is more reliable. That doesn't mean he'll score more goals just that he has the potential to.

And yet his stats aren't as good and comparing them in the recent game at Goodison if you asked someone who didn't know the Prem which one was rated at 30 million it wouldn't be Delap.

By no means am I writing the lad off, but the idea of promising him a starting place in the first team on the back of one decent season is absurd, especially when Beto is in such fine form.

Exactly. So if he isn’t as effective as Beto, then he gets dropped. He doesn’t sign a contract with any guarantee of making the first team, never mind starting.
