Ok lads but where is BMD on the seating capacity table? Lads? LADS??
We'd have to be winning trebles to sell 70k. Imo.Is it bad design if it doesn't factor in relatively easy future-proofing upgrades to a 70k+ capacity?
Probably agree with you. What about 60+?We'd have to be winning trebles to sell 70k. Imo.
A 70k stadium would need to have capability to be reached by single journey cars, trains & buses. BMD doesn't offer that at all to make that feasible. Is it bad design if it doesn't factor in relatively easy future-proofing upgrades to a 70k+ capacity?
Correct. It also was not three tiers on all sides or continuos. I suspect three tiers can still be achieved on both sides of BMD, especially the plaza side.Well… he produced designs bigger than 55k for that site.
The other lot wouldn't be afraid to do it. They did it to humans to extend their standThink of the marine life that got relocated to the dock next door, now you want to evict them again
Easily. The demand for home (and away) tickets has been extremely high for close to 10 years now. 39K at Goodison was selling out with ease and then since the new stadium was announced the waiting list numbers have grown. The waiting list was around 34K last year as confirmed in a Shareholders meeting.Do you's think it will sell out each home game especially at first?, looking forward to visiting this season, if can get a bloody ticket. Need to read through this OP really, exciting times for you hopefully.

Guess the question really is then, is it going to be anywhere near big enough for you. I imagine you can extend if need be?Easily. Obviously as time goes on, if results and performances are mediocre to poor, I imagine the midweek and cup games against lesser opposition will see us struggling to get over 50K but that would happen with almost all clubs except for the ones with thousands of gloryhunters around the country who can go in and fill any unsold seats. And with our past 30 years, we certainly don't have that type of fanbase.
For the first season, I do believe it'll regularly sell out if not all games. In the long-term, it'll likely boil down to success and the cost TFG put on tickets.Do you's think it will sell out each home game especially at first?, looking forward to visiting this season, if can get a bloody ticket. If it becomes £70 a game that's shocking mind, no way would i ever justify paying £70 per game, hopefully it doesn't come to that for you supporters.I would not be surprised if general admission reach £70 per game.
Me too, but I have a feeling that some games will get towards that bracket. We're already roughly at £50 a game, so a similar % increase as STs is about £67.If it becomes £70 a game that's shocking mind, no way would i ever justify paying £70 per game, hopefully it doesn't come to that for you supporters.
That's been a debateable issue among our fanbase for years. The club and architect had explored 60K+ for a while but it was decided for various reasons to go with just under 53K for a variety of reasons including: the restrictions around the site, to retain a close and intimidating design and atmosphere, and I believe to create a scarcity of tickets to ensure high demand. I think the last one is an American concept as the Architect is American.Guess the question really is then, is it going to be anywhere near big enough for you. I imagine you can extend if need be?
