TV Series

Currently watching Mobland. A decent, watchable 4-5 first episodes but really huffing and puffing towards the end of the series. Not sure what the hype is about.
They all want to be the Soprano's, lightning in a bottle, a global phenomenon. The greatest trick David Chase ever pulled was convincing the world the Soprano's was a drama.

Started a Thousand blows with Stephen Graham and James Nelson-Joyce. Watched first two episodes and seems ok. Seems like a slow burner.

A Thousand Blows. This series is inspired by the true life stories of a group of characters battling for survival in the brutal East End of London in the 1880s.

My only claim to fame as we knocked about together (Stephen Graham) as young kids for a bit as he lived over the road from my nans house.

4 episodes into Aussie series Mystery Road. Death in paradise vibes without the humour

Nah, it`s as much about the social commentary of living conditions, the endemic racism, corruption and violence, in these Outback communities, as it is about the police investigation.

Aaron Pederson in the lead as Jay Swan, is standout too and I always thought he`d go onto to become a global star, as he has a real presence.

The film, which came first, is better than the tv series (s) though - darker and much more gritty.

I don't know if it was released a while ago in the UK, but the "Fred & Rose West - A British Horror Story" just popped up on Netflix here in the US.

I can not believe what some people can dot o other human beings, especially children. Shocking absolutely shocking.

Started watching Mobland. Actually quite enjoying it, a passable bit of nonsense. As a Meathman, I'm a bit of a Brosnan stan, so I'm ready to fight anyone who mentions his accent
Yanno what
Mobland has had plenty of stick but started watching it.
First few episodes were pretty cringy , but stuck with it and really enjoyed it upto now.
8 episodes in and as long as you don't take it too serious it's a bloody good watch.

The 3 main characters Mirren , Hardy & particularly Brosnan are superb the further you get into the series.
Looking forward to the last 2 episodes now.

Oh
And a banging theme tune 👌

bbc 2 documentary.

'Implosion: The titanic sub disaster.'

A very dangerous man (stockton rush) fueled with a little bit of knowledge, and the sheer arrogance to laugh at incredible danger and charge a bunch of suckers to come along for the ride. Corporate manslaughter a minimum, sadly unaccountable.
Got me thinking, if you had the money and you were keen, would you have trusted this snake oil salesman? I suppose a reasonable alternative isn't there, James Cameron isn't running a personal sub team and certainly not at $250k a head.

Shambles.

Toby Jones looks an evil bugger.

Just watched Whiteman Walking - a Storyville edition about a man, Rob Bliss, who walks 1500 miles through Americas deep south wearing a BLM tshirt! Excellent insight into the general feeling of people with regards to BLM and race in general.

An excellent watch, I really enjoyed it.

Not so interesting fact…..I’ve never seen Breaking Bad (and I love my TV series) apart from about six of seven episodes of the first season about ten years ago, and honestly it bored the pants off me, but I’m considering giving it another go. Yes or no? Brill TV or overhyped TV?

It's fantastic, but a little bit of patience is deffo needed. It's really kicking on in later seasons.
