LFC Parade Incident

There is a video of him at the corner of North John Street and Dale Street in a confrontation with fans. My first question, why continue down to Water Street?

He'd passed Hackins Hey by this point, but there is Exchange Street East. Why not divert down there? Why continue towards a clearly blocked Strand?

In terms of where the car has come from, there are several roads where he could have come from off Dale Street.

There is ample parking in the side streets where a journey may have originated, either commercial, private or council parking.

That's it.

I used to work on exchange St.

We were advised during big events (Lfc cl, Gay pride) to avoid the use of our car park and seek alternates, or to park further away.

I guess thats my logic behind why it makes no sense.

I guess we will find out, but makes no sense whg you'd co tinie given the proximity to the central point of the parade.

….maybe he’d arranged to collect somebody at an agreed point, it’s all conjecture.

He is in the car, and it would appear as if they're attempting to open the door. Several people appear to be verbally abusing him, and some strike the car.

Thanks mate. Sounds like the silly bugger has just completely lost the plot and the red mist has overcome him.

You see people getting angry all the time when they're trying to get through busy crowds but 99.9% times out of 100 people don't snap and just take any crap they get on the chin. Looks like this is that 0.1% time where he's completely lost the plot

There's notices in all the buildings for staff and residents saying the same mate, some people won't be told though

Eye witness on sky saying the guy hit a few people in the crowd, then he stopped and people were attacking his car, that’s when he put his foot down and what every has seen in the videos!

Hard to work out what’s actually happened!

Either way it’s horrific

Just separate to this incident - I'm now seeing reports of absolute chaos with the trains. Queueing systems have completely failed and a couple trains have actually left Lime Street almost completely empty!! people getting really angry and it's causing a fair bit of unrest.

Absolutely abysmal planning from those in charge of our city once again. Genuinely fear for what's in store for us next season with BMD...
