The club statement says that talks are ongoing with Alcaraz. Not with Flamengo.

For me that means it’s contract discussions rather than the actual transfer which I assume would have been agreed at point of loan.

Could also be that we are structuring the payment so our summer transfer kit doesn't diminish. I thought paul would say it was the club else they would say personal aggreement coming along.

We will have cash, that won't be the issue. There's really no negotiating with Flamengo, I'm sure they could get 12 million elsewhere.

I think people are reading too much into the wording of tweets.

He’s not signed permanently yet but we’ll be entering into discussions to make it happen. This is the positive news we wanted.

They would need to ask Flamengo, not Alcaraz.

I understand this isn't happening on everyone's fake deadline, but he season just ended yesterday. The club has indicated they want to sign him. A bit of patience required.
