I don't watch them that much, but he didn't look at 30m+ player to be like a prime Coleman/Baines.

I would pay that fee because he's a quality player who can be a first choice for the long term. He's as good as Coleman was in my opinion

One is 24 and the other 25 so not much between them at all you could even argue that Gordon had one inflated season last year and has returned to normal this time and of course a lot of his involvements will be penalties that he dived for.

It's all about opinions, if you prefer Mcneil I find that absolutely mental but your not the only one so fair enough. I'm not a massive fan of Gordon btw, but I think he's a far better player. I don't think there would be a queue of Newcastle fans looking to swap Gordon for Mcneil

I'm not sure I pay over 30m for him. Young was better than him yesterday, and if I'm paying over 30m for someone I want them to be decisively better than Young. But that's just me
