Surprised about your verdict on Livramento as I've always been impressed when I've watched him and he's played a lot of the season out of position at left back

Would you pay 30 odd million for him though mate? Like is he that much better than Young has been? I didn't think he was yesterday.

I don't watch them that much, but he didn't look at 30m+ player to be like a prime Coleman/Baines.

And yes, there is a table, since Moyes returned they have the same number of points as us. Having spent 500m.

Would you pay 30m+ on Livramento or Hall? Or 60 odd on Tonali? I'm not sure I would.

Isak and Gordon have been great buys.

I'd have Tonali all day at 60. He's a stud.

For me, 500m quid on the evidence I saw yesterday is a huge amount of money, for a team that doesn't look that special to me. It's workmanlike and ok, but you'd probably want a bit more for 500m in my view. We finished 5th regularly spending far less.

Ever heard of inflation? Good players cost a lot of money now. It’s not 2010.

Also Barnes wasn’t £45 million. And Tonali not £60 million. You are just adding millions on.

I think they’ve built pretty well personally. I’m not sure what their net spend is but for me they’re strong across the pitch and their midfield 3 is definitely one of the best in the league (based across the season and not just a few games).

Absolutely light years ahead of anyone we've played on that side. Mad that people are suggesting he wouldn't improve us.

They haven't bought loads the last couple of windows I assume because of PSR. Their squad needs strengthening but their first team is very good. Makes our win all the more impressive given what they had to play for.

I like the fullbacks, but think they overpaid for them a bit.

Murphy I don't really see mate, I'd have Alcaraz, Ndiaye, McNeil over him
