It's a 30 million relegation clause, that's not a maximum. If United meet the clause and Chelsea bid 40 whose money do you think Ipswich will accept?
Already agreed in his deal that if they pay 30 he can leave even if they did bid more player has power to decide what club even if they offer more

I'd take Livramento, Burns, Guimares, Tonali, Murphy, Gordon, Barnes and Isaak who would all walk into our starting 11.

But apart from 6-7 players of that kind of calibre, yes it wouldn't take much to catch them up I suppose
Livramento-yes, but we're old there
Burn-No, not over Branthwaite
Guimares-yes
Tonali-yes
Murphy-no
Gordon-maybe, not over N'diaye. Gordon has not had a good season.
Barnes-yes
Isak-of course

So that's five-ish, probably throw in Joelinton.

It's not a squad that oozes talent, but we're six players short in my opinion which tells us where we are.

And the players we acquire probably won't compare favorably to the above yet either, we should be targeting players on the up.

That cretin couldn’t lace Ndiaye boots

Burns can play left back so I'd take him over Mykolenko.
Gordon or Murphy over Mcneil/Harrison.

But even if it was 5ish, that's half the team. They're half a team better than us, have more squad depth, and are simply a far better proposition than us currently.

If he joins them, no hard feelings. If he decides he wants to join us and the deal makes sense financially for us then great. I won't be gutted though if he decides against us. We've got a bucket load of work to do to get this squad up to a level capable of sustaining a challenge for a European spot over the course of a season.

If the horse punching scruffs are in for him, it's a no brainer he goes there.

They're a club that's competing for trophies, in the CL, decent squad, will pay him a decent wage.
With a world class forward who ensures Delap starts no more than 5 games a season (barring injury)

Young was superb against Gordon yesterday and nothing gave me greater pleasure than seeing the little scruff get subbed at half time.

But over the course of the season, (taking away Gordon being a horrible little rs ferret and based on ability) would you rather have Gordon or Jack Harrison/Dwight Mcneil?.
Haha indeed he was schooled by a 39 year old so well played Ashley. I think another poster has it right and compares Ndiaye to Gordon now would you swap them because I certainly wouldn't.

Harrison is not good enough but I genuinely feel there is not much between Gordon and McNeil and if you look at the goals that Dwight scores and the contribution he makes I feel he is at least on a par with Gordon. If we had Isak upfront can you imagine how many more assists he would have. He played another great pass to Calvert-Lewin again yesterday and he predictably fluffed it.

Fair, but it’s still a far cry from playing every week… there are still footballers who want that. Especially when they’re young and developing

I'd rather have Gordon than Mcneil mate. I think he's levels above Mcneil.
