Away form has been brilliant under Moyes so that is important to take into next season, hardly any goals conceded away under him given the two defeats were 1-0s. O'Brien is a very viable candidate to play centrally next season, infact I think it's important he gets his chance there rather than just playing Tarks whatever his form.

Good things are coming if 3-4 of Ndiaye's quality are signed in the needed areas. Fingers crossed.

Probably our best result under Moyes this season

They had a lot riding on today and I genuinely thought we were miles better in huge parts of the game. They had little spells like you'd expect, but I felt we bullied them and played the better football in parts.

Thought Gueye was MotM for us, for his running and interceptions, but there were plenty of others deserving (Alcaraz, Pickford, Beto, Mykolenko). Great performance where we would have downed tools in the past.

Good shout. Gana has been the standout player of the year for me.

Beto was my motm and definitely in the running for my favourite player. Was manhandled all game and kept fighting. DCL was a downgrade when he came in. Would definitely keep beto at this point.

I see a lot of negativity in this thread.
I get the fact that Newcastle are playing for a European place and that the result (as far as league placement is concerned) isn't important to us. . .
but I can actually see this playing out in our favour.
ALL the pressure is on them and the longer the game goes without them scoring, the more that pressure builds.
COYB lets ruin their day 0-1 (apologies to any horses who may be affected by this)
