2024/25 Charly Alcaraz

This gets at something that's pretty big for me: if both Beto and Charly are starting in the middle, it's going to give the opposing center halves nightmares. Both are just constantly running at you - with or without the ball - and if they're not running by you, they're both apt to make you feel it the next day. Meanwhile you can't even get the ball off Ndiaye half the time, even if you try and foul him. Just seeing the three of them on the team sheet, everybody in the league is going to know they're in for a rough afternoon in every way possible.

I don't know how to deal with these feelings of hope going into next year.

imagine if we had a fast right winger as well 😳

He's got a very good partnership with Beto, and Ndiaye ain't getting dropped. That just leaves 1 more playing partner on the right required.

A Beto or Delap up top will leave defenders with a few bruises.

Alcaraz & Ndiaye just run directly towards goal and must frighten defences.

If we can bring in that elusive player on the right then we'd be a threat across all 4 attacking positions.

Alcaraz is a bargain and takes our team up a level. He's like a Cahill/Richarlison hybrid.

So glad he got a deserved goal

Must sign.

Struggled to get a regular position but no Doucs and him playing that role and it was a brilliant second half. Him and Ndiaye gives a genuine threat on the counter for first time in many years, just need to sign a rapid RW now.

It sounds ridiculous even typing this as it should be basic stuff. But even that shot he had that pope saved. He travelled 25/30 feet with the ball and never looked uncomfortable. If thats doucoure he's either falling over or the ball is bouncing off his shins.
Basic stuff for many other clubs but we've been deprived of players who can carry the ball with threat.
