2024/25 David Moyes

Something something young, something something, progressive, something something “proper football”, something something Iraola. Repeat ad infinitum

No. Why do you assume that?

I find it very odd Evertonians can’t at least understand why other Evertonians don’t like Moyes and didn’t want him back. Loads don’t agree, and that’s fine but why do people need to dismiss something utterly normal

I’m happy the majority are over the moon and excited with it all, but there should be no need to dismiss others who aren’t so far down the path (unless they are Davek)

but they’res more then not

and tbh if you don’t and seeing the job he’s done

it’s a bit odd

The thing which most impressed me today was it was clear that the team was playing for the shirt and put in a tremendous shift in what was a dead rubber game. Moyes should take tremendous credit for creating that togetherness.

That’s a really good point, and is a credit to him. The performance was excellent apart from the understandable lack of quality. Perhaps players still playing for their place going forward, whether it’s at the club in general or in the team?

Just four league defeats under Moyes, three of them 1-0's and the first one against Villa probably would've been a draw if he'd had a week or so training the team. He's doing a cracking job. Its not always going to be pretty football and he can be a frustrating, stubborn sod at times but he knows what he's doing. If he's given money to work with, I see no reason why we can't push for a European spot next season along with hopefully two serious cup runs.

The difference between Dyche and Moyes is like night and day. He is tactically far superior and also doesn't infect the players with the same constant negativity that Dyche did. It's also good to see us realising that we don't have to spend most of the game with all 11 players behind the ball.

Big summer ahead, let's hope the club gets it right.

Obviously it’s not straightforward, but with some quality and no European distractions why can’t we challenge for Europe and even top five next season?
Exactly. You are a big Moyes fan, but you've got the courage of your convictions: you think he can get us Europe. However, what gets me are the Moyes fans who shudder at the expectation that Moyes can do this. I mean, of course he can! And that has to be the demand IF these owners of ours are any cop at all. If we don't think the manager can get us Europe if he is backed, we've got the wrong man in the job. For what it's worth, I think it's well within his compass if these Yanks start living up to their reputations... Moyes has done his bit. Over to the Americans now.

one of the biggest things, for me, and i know the game has changed since he left in 2013, but just how much we’ve kept the ball on the deck

remember years off hoofing it long to Johnson and Saha who could do nothing with it

he’s grown as a manager

really optimistic for next year

if we get Delap, Alcaraz and Doak boxed off in the next couple of weeks, along with a contract for Gana the feelgood factor will keep rolling
