2024/25 Michael Vincent Keane

Not massively averse to him getting a year on hugely reduced terms, wouldn’t shed a tear if he went and we signed a younger talent who can hopefully progress.

One big concern is we have a huge rebuild to do, we need some experience in the dressing room still. I’d rather not spend any money actually signing that so keeping a few of the existing players around makes sense to me.

2 year deal 60k per week.

Took a massive cut to stay.

Experience of soiling his pants and crying/puking all night before a big game.

Was Keane playing that time Isak scored against us last season (or the previous season, can't remember). When he had the ball by the corner flag, and proceeded to stroll past our whole defence as if they were traffic cones, and slotted it into the corner?
I'm normally Mr placid, that single piece of "play defending" broke me that night. Not proud of it but I did give it some, must have been that we'd pulled one back and perhaps could've got another and then that happened right in front of me in the Park End. Disgraceful defending, one of many occasions from him, and the team to be fair.

I swore off paying stupid money and 8 hour round trips that night, as they couldn't be assed, so neither could I!

Glad to say my passion is much more controlled and back to its normal "meh" level and reignited passion abounds as we move forward.

Heard the same today from a trusted source. Apparently Moyes sees him as a solid backup and when the Gwladys Street go "Keano, Keano, Keano" when he warms up, Moyes thinks he must be a fan favourite.
