Sunderland winning really improves Man U’s odds of staying up next year.

Also it really cheeses off the Toon. That’s genuinely one of the funniest derbys in the world. I don’t know what Jermain Defoe is up to these days but I bet he could still bag against Newcastle.

Strange season this season:
Rs win the title, Barcodes the league cup, Palace the fa cup, Spuds the europa and Aberdeen the scottish cup.

Forgive me my tin foil hat moment, but after many years of predictability it's like all the associations have got together to try and make the product more edgy and possibly more saleable to the bored subscription masses ready to pull their collective plugs.
