Chelsea linked with Joao Pedro, Osimhen and others.
Newcastle have Isak.
United buying Cunha (granted he’s not an out and out striker).

There’s probably only us that he’d be definite 1st choice for?

Plus the Chelsea and ManU managers are skating on thin ice if they don't get off to a good start next season.

If he wants to be a starter and really progess then he should probably come here .
But that's not how most footballers think.
Think he’ll have a few options where he’s a likely starter, he has the potential to improve Villa, Spurs, Arsenal, for starters, but to your point they all have better competition (but also more games)

That`s our big selling point for any big transfer targets. Whoever we spend big on to bring in this summer will most likely come into the starting XI whereas with the likes of Chelsea they`ll be adding to a first team squad and if a new signing doesn`t hit the ground running their replacement could be brought in the next transfer window.

Not seen him play much but seems highly regarded. However, I can imagine if he went to Chelsea for example the next time you would see him play was when he was shipped out on loan somewhere. Given his age he would probably get better development opportunities at Everton but given we need a massive overhaul of the squad it might not be wise to plough a big proportion of the transfer budget on one relatively unproven player
£30 mil is a low fee for a striker with an obviously higher ceiling than his first impressive PL season
what is our budget? I imagine it is a lot more than £30mil given our recent transfer spends, PSR safety and Friedkin restructuring of the debt

I think that and the new stadium. For a team who finished 13 I think we are an exciting proposition for new players. Moyes has a track record of being steady and developing players as well which will help.

Delap, Doak etc - if that’s the profile we are going with when spending money than I’m all for it.

It’s going to be a bit of a mish mash of a summer I think. There will undoubtedly be a few freebies with prem experience such as coufal, Ben Davies in there to bulk the squad and add depth…I imagine Moyes will get his way and sign soucek as well.

I just hope the majority of the money we have goes on attacking positions and with players who can develop here, either win something or at least make us some profit.

All I wanted was for us to be in the mix and really sell themselves. Looks like we’re doing that. If he and up at a CL club, it is what it is but at least we didn’t concede without even having a go. With the World Cup next year, I really think us being able to offer first team football would be a very intriguing aspect to playing here
