Goodison Alehouses: Crofts closed on Sunday. Any others going/gone?

Also - on the flipside to what everyone has been saying about the usual haunts - there's businesses in town and down by the Strand leading all the way to the new ground that will be thrilled to have a new matchday experience with Evertonians, most of them being independently ran gaffs who could really use the boost in custom. Happy for them.
Agree with this . I think it’s about them and particularly the ones closest to BMD finding a sustainable business plan which will based on being busy once a fortnight , initially at least .

The area and establishments that remain might be surprised by how many the womens team will get. I'm not suggesting that it'll be at the men's levels but I know many blues planning to go because of the pull of the grand old lady and the old routines. It may well prove to be a masterstroke from the new owners.
It's not the same demographic and/or experience though, I can't see that many people rocking up to see the women play Bristol City and necking 6 pints in the spellow beforehand.

Need a lot more places open around the new ground for it to be a place to stick around before and after the game.

I can see Dale street becoming the place to be. I'm thinking of making the rose and crown my pre match boozer.

Dale street became a blue street on Sunday. Every pub was heaving with Evertonians, from The Ship to the Denbigh and all in-between.

If that becomes the Norm, then happy days.

I've always had that part of town down as blue tbh mate. The Denbigh and Excelsior definitely, less so maybe Rigbys and the Ship. We now have the lock up just over the road too. The Croc was also an Everton pub at one Point.

The RS end of town always seemed to be around Lime St for me, the Blob, the Yankee etc.
