Charly Alcarez + Harrison Armstrong = Doucoure

With Doucoure leaving in the summer it frees up more playing time for Alcarex and Armstrong.

Will that be enough in that role or will we need another player to slot in.

Doucoure normally played as the advanced player in centre midfield.

Would rather see him get regular game time somewhere next season rather than play understudy here.

Wouldn't begrudge Armstrong another Championship loan. Back to Derby ideally, where they seemed to find a role for him. He's still young & developing.

I think i'm in a minority on here based on the posts I see but for me a quality central midfielder would be pretty much top of my list for the summer. Our complete inability to dictate the flow of a game is massive problem and I think if we could solve that and start to have games played on our terms instead of having it all on just to compete in the middle of the pitch we'd suddenly look an awful lot better.
