What are your 'Mind blown' moments since you've been a blue?

People mocking and laughing at supporters protesting for a better run Everton ,we were heading for certain ruin ,why couldn’t everyone see it, also prominent fan groups who took selfies with the likes of Kenwright / Moshiri( even Josh Wander my god) instead of holding these people to account.

Meeting Alan Ball when he was at Arsenal and had broken his leg and was in the gap between the bullens road and park end. He was having banter with the fans and then me dad asked him why he left and he said in a very serious angry voice"do you think it was my choice to leave I would never of left"
Then Brian Kidd scored and he ran over to embrace Ball. I am not tech savie but there must be a picture of Ball and Kidd.

Drawing 2-2 with Newcastle after scoring to lead 2-1 in the 89th minute.

And then, in typical Everton "Hold my beer" style, drawing 2-2 with Newcastle again after leading 2-0 in the 93rd minute.

Stuart McCalls two goals vs RS in '89 FA Cup.

I was properly old enough for it although I have very clear and happy memories of the title winning season in '87.

I thought we'd go on to win that in the end but alas.

That for me marked the end of our status as a "big" club.

We were well in decline by the time the 95 Cup Final came about. I loved that under Big Joe but I never thought that was us sorted after.

Not sure about "mind-blowing" bad moments, there have been too many since then with the effect of being numb to a lot of them in the end.

I did feel very low when Friedkins first takeover collapsed, I did wonder where we'd go from there and what charlatan was next. It looked like we'd lose to Sligo Rovers in that evenings friendly, but as with all things Everton, we do have plenty of fight in us.

The season we finished 4th. 2004/05

The club was all doom and gloom after Rooney's departure and the players we'd signed didn't seem like good additions at the time.
We'd lost Gravesen in that bizarre move to Real Madrid as well.
We'd skirted with relegation the season before and we were odds on for a lot of people to go down.
Got hammered by Arsenal opening game of the season and things were looking bleak.

But then we started winning and winning and winning. Most were smash-and-grab 1-0's, but we were the talk of the Football world for a time.
It did peter out somewhat in the run in, we lost a fair few of our final ten games including a 7-0 shoeing to Arsenal, but we did enough to finish above that lot and gain a Champions League place.

What happened in that CL qualifier stitch-up against Villareal somewhat spoiled things for the following year.
It was clear UEFA didn't want 5 English clubs in the CL (That lot had finished 5th, but won the CL that year)
The fact we drew Villareal was suspect to begin with, then they brought Colina out of retirement to officiate (A lot of people who deny this was a stitch-up often forget that this guy had actually retired and came back for just 1 game, writing off a perfectly good goal, gifting them the momentum and the win, before heading back into retirement again)

It was a surreal time to be a blue to say the least.

2013-14 season.

Roberton Martinez's first season.
We finished 5th on 72 points, which would have us sitting in 2nd this season for comparison.
Lukaku, Deulofeu, Barkley & Mirallas all on fire with Barry & McCarthy looking like shrewd acquisitions.
Europa League for the next season, Lukaku and Barry then signing permanently. It felt like we'd really turned a corner... :(
