Seriously though, it must have been amazing to come in on the boat. Weather was perfect.

The sea crossing was glorious, a perfect prelude to what followed. Sorry I can’t oblige for the TT…house packed with family visitors from Los Angeles and London!

The EasyJet flight home wasn’t quite as glamorous as the maritime arrival… 40 minute flight delay because a woman threw up in the toilet as we taxied out to take off!

We arrived around half ten I think. Took me a good half hour to move about 50 yards til i was through the gates by the Fan Zone.

A policeman told me they were late opening the turnstiles on Goodison Road. He wasn't very happy about it. This was about 11.15am and he thought the kick off was going to be pushed back.

It was about 11.00 onwards, lots going from the Spellow Lane corner down Goodison Road to their turnstiles and others coming in the opposite direction. I'm 56 and my lads are grown up but I'm sure it was pretty uncomfortable for anyone with younger kids in there. Once we got in (turnstiles 1 and 2) there were about 20 police inside eating their lunch and couldn't have cared less what was going on when I approached them, and I wasn't the only one who tried.

He didn't have a great game in Sunday but I think he's a good player. £100m is insane, however, he'll go somewhere in the summer in the £20-30m range.

Sorry if I've missed it, and it's probably impossible to answer, but does anyone know how many of us were locked outside without a ticket.
I'd guess a minimum of 5,000 as even the Top House was rammed with people watching the game on the box there.
