Couldn’t care less if Newcastle get CL or otherwise. Let’s get the kids involved and look forward to next season…. Oh and 2 foot Clare balding!
I think the PL will have reminded all clubs about the importance of fielding a strong team in the final fixtures in order to secure the integrity of the competition, especially in matches where the outcome will have wider implications. Certainly, Chelsea, Villa and Forest would be entitled to expect a proud and professional club like Everton to do just that. And of course if the situation was reversed, we would expect other teams to do the same in order to give us a fair chance of qualifying for Europe, or avoiding relegation, or whatever we were trying to achieve.

Honestly…. Who gives a flying **** what masters and the premier league say.

They show us disregard we put 2 fingers back up to them

Chelsea did keep us up not so long ago too.

Edit - was actually quite a while ago, Christ where does time go..

These Geordies are only one step behind kopites on the cringe scale.
Fat grown men standing shirtless on a freezing cold terrace.
Full kit wearing drunken louts who think Newcastle Brown Ale is actually nice.
An accent that makes them sound thick and the men have a mother and sister who are the same person.

0-1
I agree with nearly everything in this post. But please don't say a bottle of dog isn't nice, I live on it.

Using PL and integrity in the same sentence is a bit of a stretch.

As I've tried to explain, it's not about the PL or Masters, it's about professional football clubs doing things professionally in a league that requires competitive matches . If we simply turn up at Newcastle with too many youth players in the team and lost heavily we would rightly be criticised by the other clubs for failing in our communal duty to compete properly, and could expect to never be protected in similar circumstances where we would need it. At the end of the day, or season even, that's how things do, and should, work, as I'm sure Moyes is well aware.

I know what you mean, and I would agree with your words above, but I was talking about all matches having a genuinely competitive intent to them, at least as far as the fans, players and managers are concerned, (not so the PL administrators and PGMOL of course for reasons that we are all familiar with).

You said in your last post about the PL reminding clubs… so yes it is about the PL according to you.

Since the RS won the league they have dropped 8 points in 3 games having previously dropped 13 points in 34 games. Now tell me about integrity and the importance of maintaining this right through the end of the season.

Anyhow, I am talking about 3 players who don’t want to be here or not going to be here next season and replacing them with kids. Isn’t exactly overhauling the 1st team really is it.

However, we should do what we need to do as a club and not have to consider anyone else.

Also, who would want to do anything to help Forest after their comments during the PSR challenges. Let’s put them up there with Leicester and Burnley. Scabs the lot of them.

I just thanks be to God that this isn't determining if we get relegated or not.

Blimey, 13th place secured, ahead of manure & spuds ... and Wham which must make Moyes smile

On the beach bigly for this one
I hope it's not on the beach. Yes we cannot win any more prize money, but there will be players in their final ever game for us wanting to go out with a victory. Pickford won't want to lose to these, and it's the strikers' last chance to stake a claim for next season if there is any indecision about whether any of them are being kept, sold or released. Hope we go up there and do a good ol' fashioned job on them: 2-0 to us with a Doucoure goal just after half time and a Michael Keane drop kick into the postage stamp area of the goal after 90+6 minutes.

Saying that players who have (according to rumours) rejected contracts and are moving on next year are going to be bothered whether we win or lose this final game?

DCL downed tools last summer when he rejected the contract.

Alcaraz to replace Doucoure and bring someone in for experience on the bench

Patterson to replace young and bring someone in for experience on the bench.

Chermiti (if fit) to be the striker from the bench.

Leave all 3 at home.
