Looks very average since we lost tarkowski...not sure if he isn't arse or he knows he is going, but playing like that i am happy for a good united offer in the summer.
He has looked a lot better since Moyes came in. He still has a lot of work to do on his positional sense to become a truly top defender, but we can see the improvement in that area under Moyes.

In terms of his performances without Tarkowski, it is natural to expect a very young defender to struggle a bit when he goes from having an experienced player and team captain next to him every minute of every game, to having Michael Keane as his partner. I wouldn't say that is a negative reflection on Branthwaite.

Contracts mean nothing. When they want out because they can get england caps and a chance at being in the next pepsi cola advert, it's all over.

There's a right back somewhere not far away seeing the world burn somehow for upping sticks and playing in the Spanish sun.

Let's see what Moyes can do.

A new contract mean the player is happier with his wages, and we get an appropriate fee when he inevitably gets poached by a CL Club.

What is the point of taking risks on developing young homegrown talent if they walk out the door for free before they hit their prime?
