I thought this was going to be about 1985.

Yeah, I guessed it may have been a bit tenuous at first so I put a picture of Dave Watson with the FA Cup in the hope that it would jog a few memories.

To be fair I think on few on here still wouldn't cotton on lol.

I remember running out of our house at full time and doing laps of our close in Norris Green singing Everton songs!!

I was 12, I know have 2 sons older than that. Not acceptable.

I mean only in the real world , in my head 95 was about 10 years ago surely ?

Had one of the best weekends of my life , the 80’s success felt almost routine like it would never end . When 95 rolled around it was to be enjoyed and let me tell you it was , every moment of it .

I watched it on my own at home and drank a six pack of Diet Coke, this became a superstition for a while. Can’t believe it’s been that long.

Went with my dad, cousin and uncle. My sister couldn't get a ticket with us so sat with the neutrals in a different stand. I remember meeting her after the game, we were all so happy as we had never expected to win. The semi- final was better from a football point of view,but I was elated that we won. I had a crap year in 1995, I couldn't get a job, and Everton and that cup run kept me going.

Saw it on the telly ... just like yesterday. I remember instinctively twitching my head for the header as Ridout went to score from his. Cracked me up when I saw Joe Royal do the same from the touchline.

I was living in London at the time , staying in a house share , my kopite mate decided to come down as it was a fellow blues stag do.
And he had also got into one of the birds in our house at the Bolton League cup final
We were out for 9am and all done E’s .
My mate never had a ticket but went to Wembley anyway.
I went in and he was happy to stay around Wembley (E’s , weed , Stella )
Apparently there was a massive fight outside just after kick off between Everton , United and the Cockney touts and their heavies.
Met up with my mate after the match , he was black and blue , collapsed outside Wetherspoons and was blue lighted to A&E.
Spent a couple of hours in A&E then self discharged himself to go back on the lash.
Abiding memory afterwards was surrounding a black glass collector in a South London pub and the whole pub singing “Daniel Amokachi Daniel Amokachi” all took in good stead..
Also remember before the game a massive firm of Everton hooligans waiting for United at the top of Wembley way by the ground , United never showed up thankfully.
A brilliant day , Royle tactically outclassed Ferguson on the day and it worked.
Southall played a blinder and bringing on Ferguson then Amokachi completely disrupted United.
I think this so annoyed United that they deliberately dragged there heels over letting us sign Kanchelskis.
A great day all round, more please Everton , it’s been a while…

Watched it with a mate who supported Spurs but didn't want utd to win so he was a blue for the day. Went out and played football in the park afterwards feeling on top of the world.

It’s weird that 95 feels like just 10 years ago and 85 feels like the full 40. Hard to believe there was only 10 years between the 85 league win and the 95 cup win. The same amount of time between when we signed lukaku and Distin left until now.

Utterly scandalous that it is now officially 30 years since this club last won silverware. Yet Kenwright can still do no wrong in the eyes of the happy clappers.
