Yeah his work ethic and attitude never in question. But age, ability and wages were a problem going forwards

As others said, right decision but will be remembered fondly as someone who at least stood up during the dark days.

His goals v Brighton (that volley) and Bournemouth basically saved us that year. Was never a number 10 but did a job.

Hopefully we can get some more quality in those attacking positions.
