New Everton Stadium

The only other thing that they could have done is maybe called it The Bramley Moore - Hill Dickinson Stadium.

A mouth full but would keep the Stadium named Bramley Moore introduced the sponsor as well.
A better solution would be to brand it but keep the Everton Stadium element. For the addition of one glorious word, we'd have the Hill Dickinson Everton Stadium.

Maybe we could do a daily ‘Big Brother’ inspired reality tv show on the ground fit out.

In a Geordie accent:

It’s 10:03 at Hill Dickinson stadium and John the plaster has only managed to skim one wall today. He’s been called to the diary room to explain his low performance and if he understands that his production will look awful on the daily updates the club have to give to GOT forum members. If he doesn’t ‘up’ his work rate in the executive lounges, he’ll be put up for a forfeit were he could lose his colleagues an expenses paid trip to the Costco cafe.

Well, to be fair to the rumour-mongers, I've never been convinced that the internals of the stadium that we have seen are anywhere near finished. I still can't get over the idea that the "ceilings" are to remain as exposed as they are and the concrete is to remain as stark.

It just doesn't scream 800m stadium to me. And I doubt these Yanks would want it to look cheaper than it cost...

Even if there is a delay there is zero chance the PL are going to allow us to be too many games behind everyone else, so whereas I could see them allowing us to postpone our first two home matches that is as far as they will allow in my view, if for example for some reason the delay went as late as October/November then it’s either back to Goodison or reduced capacity at the Hill Dickinson. We do have options.

The games could still go on at full capacity, club would have to refund the difference to hospitality/executive members for not being able to use those facilities. Nothing wrong with the seats in which they’d view the match.

I mentioned the same the other day. Seems a no brainer for when the sponsorship drops off (Like in my example of the BT Cellnet Riverside Stadium as it was when first opened)

the norm is that everton leave announcements till the last minute, if its not going to open till end of sept hopefully they will let people know , but what about friendlies, they are probably already booked
Don’t think you’d need the lounges for friendlies, and there is still a third test event to be played, whether they use that as the traditional home pre season friendly I don’t know, but it would seem a little late given the PL would start a week later.

And it gives the fans an out. We can simply call it Everton Stadium. Which is what it is.

Of course, the beancounters want us all to call it by its corporate name, which will not happen with anybody with a functioning brain.

The tunnel club thing is just construction walls, there’s no fit out even close to happening there because the initial one was of such poor quality. None of the fit out has started on the other lounges either.

There’s what, 5/6 lounges? Oh, and they’re still deciding on the name of that pub they had people vote on. So, none of the branding has started for that.

Just look at the photie posted a few pages back and tell me I’m lying.
Thought they'd trademarked Prince Ruperts.
Also would the people fitting out the hospitality suites not be different to the people going through the snag list for the likes of the changing rooms?
