@ste d' indica, I don't have much of a personal account as I said my goodbye's 20 years ago after my only visit as an adult in the upper Gwladys. I didn't think, at the time, I'd be back anytime soon living 5k+miles away. Although I thought that would change a couple years ago, my body said nope and I ended up being chained to a Saguaro here in Arizona....until I receive a transplant it's not a good idea to leave the states even though law of averages says I won't t get one soon...you never know in this instance. But, as I told
@chicoazul a long time ago, if I could bottle that night up, I'd take it to my grave:
I was not going to say anything as it's all " yuz' " day but I guess I have, the pull is too strong...soz abar me.
PS As an aside, I've heard a lot of consternation about it but Goodison is not a a live musical venue, there's a reason front of house engineers exist, even in concert halls. You wouldn't have wanted that job or to be that musician yesterday, dealing with the arl lady's acoustic eccentricities. That's not on the club so let it slide, her various architects weren't even thinking about acoustics in that way all those years ago, it'll be better down the dock.
Goodbye Goodison...I'll always remember your perfume.
