2024/25 Beto

29 games but only 14 starts.
So im gona say 8 goals in 14.
That rate is 16 in 30 ish.
Thats a 1 in 2 strike rate.
The more i think about it the more i think just get players around him who can give good service and we've got a potential 20 goal a season striker played every week.
Just as important he looks like he'd run through a brick wall to impress.

I just think people are making silly predictions based on evidence to the contrary. We won't know until we actually see him with an off-season under a manger that will work with and have faith in him. We haven't seen him with consistent service and he has essentially been 1 in 2 since regularly starting and he could be a lot more. The relentless negativity on what he is or will be is foolish. If he is sold, so be it. I back him to be solid and maybe push on.

I'd let DCL go, keep Beto and get a first choice striker in.

I'm happy to say that I wouldn't have wanted Beto six months ago but he seems to have a terrific attitude and he's strong and fast. There's still plenty of room for improvement but he deserves his place in the squad.

He’s definitely improving and if we are hoping for 12-17th he will do a job, If you want to finish too 10 or challenge Europe we have no chance with him as the main striker.
The tough part is finding one, and one who is willing to come here, United have threw £150 million on two players who were very highly rated in Europe and Beto has been better than both of them.

Our form is top 10 since Moyes came in though, so you’re wrong.

I think with a full season as first choice, he can reliably hit 10-15 goals. That's something we've not had in years.

He's not perfect, but he's effective enough in the short to medium term for me. I'd look at buying a younger prospect who can grow into the role and take over in time, rather than blowing a massive chunk of our budget on another striker this summer.
