2024/25 David Moyes

Ok, and what about the other 7?
There’s been some tough games in there, it’s a third of the season so it’s basically exactly what you’d expect from a run like that I suppose. My point was just that whether you want to call it a new manager bounce or just luck of the draw in playing a couple of terrible teams early doors, the basic idea of us initially doing really well when he took over before reverting to more standard bottom half form is a fair summary. He’s done well overall though, there’s no doubt about that.

Some of them weren't below us when Moyes took over though in fairness - I believe Spurs, West Ham and United all were above us in early January.
Well yeah I suppose we could say everybody’s been above us or below us at some point in history and judge it like that but that would be a bit weird wouldn’t it? Them being below us now and at the time of the game seems like a more logical way of looking at it.

Spurs and United were definitely ahead of us when we played. Not the most difficult games by any means but not easy matches either. The gulf between those teams and likes of Southampton and Leicester is huge, even if the table suggests it's close.

Moyes has 28 points from 18 games. That's very good given were we found ourselves and an enormous improvement on the 17 points we got in the first half of the season.

We were on course for 34 points at half way and have beaten that by 11 points. We were very much on course for 17th place and have beaten that by at least 3 and hopefully 4 places.

We were fourth bottom under Dyche and never looked like winning a game, therefore I would treat everybody as above us other than Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton for the purpose of comparison this season.

These people aren't interested in facts; they're interested in promoting their relentlessly negative, life sapping agenda.
Woah woah woah, what agenda is that? I was literally just commenting on the position of teams in the league. As I said, Moyes has done a very good job here, there’s absolutely no agenda from me so pipe down.

United were below us when we played, spurs wasn’t in the run I mentioned. In fairness I was wrong because only 4 of the games were at home, I’d misremembered the wolves one. I haven’t criticised Moyes at all or suggested he hasn’t done a good job, you’re seemingly just completely missing the context of the conversation.

What comparison? Has everybody lost the ability to read? I was literally just saying that the teams were below us when we played them, I wasn’t comparing anything just stating a fact.
