I thought the Southampton fans were class yesterday

after about 10-15 minutes the stadium was a little bit quiet, the gwladys street was trying their best to get chants going however the southampton fans didn't start singing any stupid chants like "is this is a library" or "shall we sing a song for you" or any of that nonsense. They were pretty quiet for most of the game with the odd chant every now and then in support of their team. I noticed quite a few of them also stayed behind to watch the post-match show afterwards.

What a day, good result, typically underwhelming Everton after show, got to the Winslow at 8:30, they stated selling ale at 9:00. Naturally almost every bar sold out of ale before the “show” started.

Everton that.

Saddest part was saying farewell to people I have sat next to for many years.

I know all about the emotion, but I am happy to leave the old girl behind and see all the match including corners and throw ins which are currently obstructed. Bring on the Hill Dickinson.

Well that was some occasion yesterday, some great scenes outside the ground pre match and with nobody acting up from what I saw.

Shame we couldn't offer anything to the actual match and it felt very testimonial like from the second goal onwards. Which was pretty fitting I suppose.

Very sad to see Goodison go. The soul of English football is dying year by year and this feels like a big acceleration of that.

On a positive note from our point at least that's the last time this season I'll have to travel up the country to watch this utterly pathetic bunch of players. You think your lot are spineless

Fingers crossed we can visit the new place in the FA Cup next year.

Thought it was probably our worst away end of the season support wise which was disappointing. Combination of you being so loud drowning anything out, the game effectively being over so early, and the classic early KO/hangover judging by some of the people around me.

How long has that net been there at the park end by the way? I thought I'd be fine view wise being right in that corner but I'd have rather had a pillar I think!

They did sing both "is this a library" and "football in a library" but only for a few minutes. They were a good set of fans. Respectful and having a laugh with us.

Mate, I'm 29. I've seen us win nothing. I'd kill for a poxy League Cup.
Anar, we're the same (at least yous have european football - which I'd kill for!). But you're one of the most successful clubs in this country, 9 titles and 5 FA Cups. The likes of the Palace or the Mags have nowt on your clubs history - and don't let them tell you differently, just because they've won something more recently.

I’m still not quite over leaving Goodison tbh, and never setting foot back in the top balc again made it such a bittersweet experience.

Sad about leaving the place I love but happy that we have our knew home and the people, the roar, the soul and the life of Everton will move with us to BMD.

What a day.
What a club.
What a place Goodison is.
What an amazing group of people who follow this club of ours are, simply the best supporters in the world.
Unforgettable.

To Those who were there, inside and outside the old lady, and every Toffee who couldn’t be there for whatever reason, and all those who we’ve lost and said goodbye to along the way, who were and are with us always - thanks for being Toffees and letting me and my kids be part of this boss blue family.

Amazing atmosphere outside the ground and in the boozers pre and post match, no trouble anywhere at all, just feelings of love and belonging and wanting to say thanks and goodbye to GP together.

Imagine if we ever get good again and win something…..

UTFT!
