Plus Seen Dyches mate played in the same team together - he has been a top player as a winger OK ....

Whatever you think about 'Old Ashley' he's a complete professional who has never given us less than maximum effort. Compare and contrast with Delph, who came here with a big time Charlie attitude and felt he was doing us a favour. Of course Young should never have played the amount of games for us that he did, given his age and his loss of pace, but, that was down to the club's failings not Young's.

It was time for him to go and I'm glad he hasn't been given an extension, but, I can't help but admire his attitude and effort.

He won`t be short of offers, it just depends on whether he`d be happy playing in the Championship.

Somewhere like newly promoted Wrexham or Birmingham would be a good fit for him, with all of his experience and the obvious respect he has off the field too.

Gossip on Twitter fwiw was that he was offered a new contract but declined because he was concerned about how much playing time he would get.

Can understand that he hasn’t got much more time at the top so you would want to play.

Very good performance again. Has looked much better since getting rid of Dyches' utter disaster of defensive tactics, the narrow full backs, has meant all of his defending isn't inside the box.

Would have been good backup for another year.
