This is now a massive opportunity. City and United have started to peel away in the northern Arms race. We have to make sure we are ahead of that lot.

Build a quality team at cheap prices for fans inclusive to everyone and it could set the tone for the next few decades with Women's football set to explode.

You can turn around a women's side within a couple years. The Spanish set up their sides and started dominating within a few there's no reason we can't do the same.
The thing with that is Man City and co pretty much near enough keep all players together, are way ahead in real terms, and dont make to many changes - City made just 1 summer signing a few years ago for example. Everton pretty much make 10/11 every season. So its like a rebuild each summer etc. The league is always the Top 4 and the best of the rest. Chelsea just basically buy the league with the squad they have and pile it with more top players

Well, GP will cost more to upkeep and they already did invest when the team signed six players in January, although not all on permanents. So it definitely looks like they are willing to invest.
I think some people were saying that it will cost more to demolish, at least on the short term and perhaps it could be a reason why they decided to keep it for now. Yes on the long run it might be more expensive but he doesn't require that initial big budget for the heritage project that was planned for the stadium.

Was outside the ground today with my family. Like many Blues without tickets, we just wanted to sample the atmosphere and be around fellow Evertonians. So glad this wonderful stadium isn't getting knocked down.

I haven't had a season ticket since 1996/97. But I'll be getting one for myself, the missus and my lad next season to watch the ladies. I know a few other people who are considering it also. Long live Goodison Park!!!

Is it likely that the club will continue with the policy of season ticket holders in for free? Because if the club was to be sensible and not get greedy with their prices for the mens tickets I'd quite happily pay say something like a £100 for a second season ticket specifically for the woman. I very much doubt I'd be the only one. I'd be over the moon if we could get 15 or 20k or thereabouts for every home game next season. Obviously more would be better but getting 15 to 20 for 11 games would be a big deal.

It makes me unbelievably happy that in 2025, Goodison is still able to be at the forefront of the game in a very real way. The grand old lady was one of the marvels of her day when she first came to be and as we saw today, there's no finer place to watch togger. Its an unbelievably fitting new chapter in the grounds legacy that she's once again leading the way into the future.
